Lancashire Holdings names group chief actuary

Lancashire Holdings Ltd. said James Irvine was appointed chief underwriting officer for Bermuda-based Lancashire Insurance Co. Ltd., effective Oct. 1.

Irvine is Lancashire Insurance's deputy chief underwriting officer in Bermuda.

Additionally, Ben Readdy was promoted to group chief actuary of Lancashire Holdings, effective Jan. 1, 2019. Readdy is currently deputy group chief actuary.

Irvine and Readdy will replace Sylvain Perrier, who was both chief underwriting officer for Lancashire Insurance and group chief actuary. Sylvain will retain the latter role until Jan. 1, 2019, and will continue working for the group in a strategic consultancy role afterward.

The new appointments are subject to immigration and regulatory approvals.
