Sibanye suspends shaft at Kloof after 2 workers killed

Sibanye Gold Ltd. said Feb. 7 that two workers died at the Kloof gold mine in South Africa after a fall-of-ground incident at the Ikamva 4 Shaft.

Operations at the affected area will remain suspended until an investigation is completed.

Late last week, the company returned nearly 1,000 workers to the surface after they were trapped underground at another South African project following a power outage.
