JPMorgan Chase to wipe out credit card debt of Canadian customers

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has decided to wipe out all the outstanding debt of its Canadian credit card holders following its exit from the country's credit card market, according to various third-party reports.

All accounts were closed in March 2018, CNBC reported Aug. 8. The banking giant declined to tell the news service why it decided to forgive the debt or how much was being written off.
