Raccoon Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended July 31 came to ¥1.90 per share, an increase of 44.0% from ¥1.32 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥35.0 million, a gain of 51.4% from ¥23.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 7.1% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined 80.0% year over year to ¥490.0 million from ¥2.45 billion, and total operating expenses fell 82.0% year over year to ¥433.0 million from ¥2.41 billion.
Reported net income rose 65.2% on an annual basis to ¥35.6 million, or ¥1.93 per share, from ¥21.6 million, or ¥1.22 per share.
As of Sept. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.36.
