Duck pâté pulled from Coles, Woolworths shelves

Australia's Open Side Investments Pty. Ltd., which does business as Ronda Food Products, has recalled its French Style Duck Pâté from supermarkets operated by Woolworths Group Ltd. and Wesfarmers Ltd.s Coles due to allergen concerns.

Subject to the recall in Australia are 150-gram tubs of the wild mushroom and cracked pepper-flavored product marked with use-by dates of July 24 and July 26.

The New South Wales Food Authority, which posted a recall advisory June 5, said the product contains undeclared soy and dairy, which could cause a reaction in consumers with an allergy or intolerance to the ingredients.

Customers were advised to return the pâté product to its place of purchase for a full refund.
