Virginia Retirement injects $150M into KKR property debt fund

Virginia Retirement System committed $150 million to KKR & Co.'s KKR Real Estate Credit Opportunity Partners II fund, IPE Real Assets reported.

The investment vehicle will focus on either the junior bonds or B-piece securities segment of the commercial mortgage-backed securities business, with the capital set to be invested in several types of properties that are secured by the debt, the May 17 report added.
