Yunsa Yunlu Q1 profit falls YOY

Yunsa Yunlu Sanayi ve Ticaret AS said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 10 kurus per share, a decline of 41.2% from 16 kurus per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 2.8 million lira, a decrease of 41.2% from 4.7 million lira in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 3.6% from 5.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 10.4% year over year to 78.1 million lira from 87.2 million lira, and total operating expenses declined 7.4% from the prior-year period to 71.8 million lira from 77.6 million lira.

Reported net income decreased 37.1% on an annual basis to 4.0 million lira, or 14 kurus per share, from 6.4 million lira, or 22 kurus per share.

As of May 7, US$1 was equivalent to 2.69 Turkish lira.
