Best Buy director resigns

Best Buy Co. Inc. announced Dec. 16 that Cindy Kent resigned from her position as a board director to assume a leadership role at another company.

The Minnesota-based electronics retailer said Kent would not seek re-election to the board at the company's 2020 annual general meeting as she has accepted the position of executive vice president and president of senior living at healthcare services provider Brookdale Senior Living Inc.

Kent joined Best Buy's board in September 2018.
