Torex Gold Resources Inc. appointed Jody Kuzenko as its COO, effective Oct. 29., replacing Jason Simpson, who is leaving the company for a CEO role elsewhere in the industry.

Simpson will stay with the company until Nov. 9 to help with the transition.

Kuzenko was most recently director for business strategy at Vale SA's Ontario operations, according to an Oct. 15 release.
