Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV said May 21 that it is recalling more than 51,000 of its Jeep Cherokees due to fire risk, the Lincoln Journal Star reported, citing a company statement.
According to the report, the company recalled 2018 model SUVs to fix fuel-supply tube connectors that could contribute to fuel leakage and potential fire.
If required, the company will change defective fuel-supply tubes free of cost, the report said.
The recall does not include the 2019 Jeep Cherokee, the publication reported.
