Canada's Ivanhoé Cambridge buys French office campus

Montreal-based investment manager Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, through its Ivanhoé Cambridge Inc. real estate unit, purchased the Cap Ampère office campus in Greater Paris for an undisclosed sum.

The property was sold by Natixis in what Ivanhoé said is the largest asset sale in the French office market in 2018.

The campus spans 90,000 square meters across four connected buildings on a four-hectare plot in Saint-Denis Pleyel. EDF, which will fully occupy the property under a newly signed nine-year fixed-term lease, started a program to renovate its facilities.

Knight Frank, Wargny Katz, Lacourte Raquin Tatar, Artelia and PwC advised Ivanhoé on the deal.
