PTT PCL said its third-quarter normalized net income amounted to 9.14 baht per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 6.54 baht per share.
EPS increased 37.0% year over year from 6.67 baht.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 26.10 billion baht, an increase of 37.0% from 19.06 billion baht in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.1% from 2.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 27.3% on an annual basis to 505.07 billion baht from 694.32 billion baht, and total operating expenses declined 26.4% year over year to 477.05 billion baht from 647.82 billion baht.
Reported net income totaled a loss of 26.11 billion baht, or a loss of 9.14 baht per share, compared with income of 26.55 billion baht, or 9.30 baht per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Nov. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 35.85 baht.
