Japan's Kao names executive officers

Kao Corp. on Dec. 1 appointed supply chain management vice president Osamu Tabata, research and development vice president Hideaki Kubo, skin care business president Yoshihiro Murakami and enterprise information solutions vice president Ryoichi Harada as executive officers.

It also promoted managing executive officer Yoshihiro Hasebe to senior managing executive officer, executive officer Tomoharu Matsuda to managing executive officer and executive officer Shigeru Ueyama to managing executive officer, according to a company announcement.

Meanwhile, media planning and management senior vice president Yoshimichi Saita, enterprise information solutions senior vice president Masayuki Abe, and fabric and home care business unit president Naoki Komoda, who are all executive officers, are set to retire from the company.

All changes take effect Jan. 1, 2018, Kao said.
