Bluejay to start ilmenite production from Dundas mine in 2019

Bluejay Mining PLC is set to start production at its Dundas ilmenite project in Greenland in 2019, Chairman Michael Hutchinson said May 31.

The project's JORC-compliant resource increased about 400% in April to 96 million tonnes at 6.9% ilmenite in situ. A further exploration target of between 20 million and 60 million tonnes at between 6% and 10% ilmenite was also identified.

An ongoing preliminary feasibility study is due in the coming months, with a final feasibility report to be completed later in the year.

Meanwhile, the company is finalizing off-take discussions, and a bulk sample will be taken in the coming field season to supply final product parcels to customers.
