Century Enka Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 5.89 Indian rupees per share, a decline of 7.7% from 6.38 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 128.8 million rupees, a decrease of 7.7% from 139.5 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 4.4% from 4.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 15.4% on an annual basis to 2.91 billion rupees from 3.44 billion rupees, and total operating expenses declined 15.7% year over year to 2.69 billion rupees from 3.19 billion rupees.
Reported net income fell 5.0% on an annual basis to 139.7 million rupees, or 6.39 rupees per share, from 147.1 million rupees, or 6.73 rupees per share.
As of Feb. 4, US$1 was equivalent to 61.82 Indian rupees.
