Cheniere Energy Partners closes $1.5B note offering

Cheniere Energy Partners LP closed its offering of $1.5 billion of its senior notes due 2029, according to a Sept. 12 SEC filing.

The notes with a maturity date of Oct. 1, 2029, would accrue interest at a 4.500% rate per year, payable semiannually every April 1 and Oct. 1 starting on April 1, 2020.

Cheniere Energy Partners, a leading producer and exporter of LNG in the U.S., would use the proceeds in part to fund its construction of the sixth natural gas liquefaction train at its Sabine Pass export terminal in Louisiana.
