Itaú Unibanco Holding SA said that it ended its program of Argentine certificates of deposit, known as CEDEARs, which are backed by the company's book-entry preferred shares with no par value.
The Argentine and Brazilian securities commissions gave the go-ahead to end the program as none of the securities has been outstanding on the Buenos Aires stock exchange since December 2016, according to a June 12 filing.
The bank, which operates in Argentina through its Banco Itaú Argentina SA unit, also said that it would stop updating its Spanish language investor relations website, though it will be available until the end of 2017.
