MoffettNathanson analyst downgrades Priceline over difficult 2017

Analyst Perry Gold of MoffettNathanson downgraded Priceline Group Inc. to "neutral" from "buy," over various hurdles ahead through 2017, TheFly.com reported.

Gold reportedly said that the company's valuation is not attractive any longer, with President Donald Trump's travel ban having a possible negative impact. Further, the analyst expects paid search to decline more and comps getting more difficult when compared with the strong 2016. Gold also expects foreign exchange headwinds to increase, according to the April 3 report.

The analyst assigned a price target of $1,850 to company stock.
