Bridgestone China-headquartered unit chair to resign; successor named

Bridgestone Corp. named Yoshikazu Shida chairman of Bridgestone (China) Investment Co. Ltd., succeeding Mitsuhira Shimazaki, who is set to retire, effective Nov. 1.

Shida will remain on the board of Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. and serve as its CEO, according to an Oct. 5 news release.

Shimazaki will also step down as executive chairman, vice president and senior officer of Bridgestone Asia Pacific.
