Trump to nominate new intellectual property coordinator

U.S. President Donald Trump intends to nominate Vishal Amin as intellectual property enforcement coordinator in the Executive Office of the President, the White House said April 7.

Amin, who is senior counsel on the House Judiciary Committee, served in the administration of President George W. Bush as associate director for domestic policy at the White House. He also served as special assistant and associate director for policy in the U.S. Department of Commerce office of the secretary.

If confirmed by the Senate, Amin would succeed Daniel Marti, who held the position during President Barack Obama's administration.
