Ontsu fiscal Q3 profit climbs 63.9% YOY

Ontsu Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 18 Japanese sen per share, a gain of 52.0% from 12 sen per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥37.5 million, a gain of 63.9% from ¥22.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 0.8% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥4.56 billion from ¥4.50 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥4.48 billion, compared with ¥4.44 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income grew year over year to ¥18.9 million, or 9 sen per share, from ¥4.5 million, or 2 sen per share.

As of Feb. 6, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.01.
