Goldman Sachs Asset Management to buy Aptitude Investment Management

Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP agreed to acquire Aptitude Investment Management, a company that primarily focuses on hedge fund investments for large institutions.

The Aptitude Investment Management team will remain in Seattle and Vancouver, and join Goldman Sachs Asset Management's alternative investments and manager selection group, which managed more than $200 billion of client assets as of Sept. 30.

The deal is expected to close by the end of 2018.
