Uoriki Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥11.47 per share, an increase of 35.2% from ¥8.48 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥162.8 million, a gain of 34.1% from ¥121.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 2.4% from 2.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 11.8% year over year to ¥6.73 billion from ¥6.02 billion, and total operating expenses grew 12.8% from the prior-year period to ¥6.60 billion from ¥5.85 billion.
Reported net income increased 15.2% on an annual basis to ¥190.0 million, or ¥13.39 per share, from ¥165.0 million, or ¥11.53 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
