U.S. general merchandise retailer Target Corp. said May 23 that it will launch three new brands focused on its younger customer base, leveraging the brands through digital and social media.
Target's new brand Heyday will be the company's tech-related brand, offering a selection of electronics and accessories, including cellphone cases, headphones and speakers in the $20 to $60 range. The line is expected to launch in June.
For its younger women, Target is launching the Wild Fable brand, which offers apparel, shoes and accessories all for less than $40 per item. It will debut in August.
Target's third brand, Original Use, is a street style-inspired collection for young men that will launch in August.
Target intends to use YouTube, Snapchat and Instagram to kick-start more brands in the future and to build "stronger relationships with the next generation of guests," said Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
