Wells Fargo names head of newly formed financial institutions group

Wells Fargo & Co. named Lisa McGeough head of its newly established financial institutions group, effective April 10.

McGeough, who has more than 27 years of institutional sales and marketing experience, heads the industrials group for corporate banking.

The company has merged its global financial institutions business and its corporate financial institutions group to form this new financial institutions group.

The global financial institutions division used to be a part of Wells Fargo's international group, which was combined with other wholesale banking business lines, while the financial institutions business used to be a part of the company's corporate banking group.
