Wintoni Group Q1 loss widens YOY

Wintoni Group Bhd. said its first-quarter normalized net income came to a loss of 1.0 million ringgits, compared with a loss of 291,880 ringgits in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue decreased 98.6% year over year to 46,000 ringgits from 3.3 million ringgits, and total operating expenses fell 52.8% from the prior-year period to 1.8 million ringgits from 3.8 million ringgits.

Reported net income came to a loss of 1.7 million ringgits, or a loss of 0 sen per share, compared to a loss of 464,000 ringgits, or a loss of 0 sen per share, in the prior-year period.

As of June 2, US$1 was equivalent to 4.15 ringgits.
