La Anónima said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 26 Argentine centavos per share, an increase of 11.9% from 23 centavos per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 129.5 million pesos, an increase of 11.9% from 115.7 million pesos in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 2.8% from 3.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 41.3% year over year to 4.67 billion pesos from 3.30 billion pesos, and total operating expenses rose 43.0% year over year to 4.43 billion pesos from 3.10 billion pesos.
Reported net income grew 10.2% year over year to 136.8 million pesos, or 27 centavos per share, from 124.1 million pesos, or 25 centavos per share.
As of Feb. 9, US$1 was equivalent to 8.66 Argentine pesos.
