Fitch affirms, withdraws TCF ratings

Fitch Ratings on Nov. 22 affirmed and withdrew its ratings for Wayzata, Minn.-based TCF Financial Corp. and subsidiary TCF National Bank.

Both TCF Financial and TCF National have long-term issuer default ratings of BBB- and short-term issuer default ratings of F3. Fitch said the ratings reflect TCF's "good earnings levels," as well as its "relatively high risk appetite."

The outlook is stable.

The ratings withdrawal came about due to commercial reasons.
