Argent granted 2 new tenements in Australia

Argent Minerals Ltd. said Jan. 29 that it secured the Ringville and Queensberry tenements in Tasmania, Australia.

The tenements were awarded by the Tasmanian government following an assessment of the company's exploration plans and capabilities.

Ringville contains 52 recorded mineral occurrences and is located between MMG Ltd.'s Rosebery zinc mine and the Renison Bell tin mine, which is jointly owned by Metals X Ltd. and Greentech Technology International Ltd.

Meanwhile, Queensberry spans 82 square kilometers and is host to old mine workings as well as 10 recorded mineral occurrences, four of which host the historic Queensberry mine.

Argent plans to visit the two sites in preparation for further exploration activities.
