Vectors updates Adidi-Kanga gold resource to 3.2 Moz

Vector Resources Ltd. updated the mineral resource estimate for the Adidi-Kanga gold mine, part of the Mongbwalu project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as part of the due diligence process.

The company signed a heads of agreement in December 2017 for a 60% interest in the project.

The update comprises 3.2 million ounces of JORC-compliant gold resources contained within 15 million tonnes grading 6.6 g/t of gold, the company said Feb. 5.

Forty-six percent of this resource is categorized in the indicated category, which totals 1.5 Moz of gold within 6.9 million tonnes at 6.74 g/t, while the remaining 1.7 Moz resource was classified in the inferred category within 8.1 million tonnes grading 6.6 g/t of gold.

The 2013 resource estimate had indicated and inferred mineral resource of 11.9 million tonnes at 7.65 g/t of gold for 2.9 Moz and was produced in compliance with the South African code for reporting of exploration results, mineral resources and mineral reserves.
