Fla. court enters liquidation order for Windhaven

A Florida court on Dec. 30, 2019, ordered the liquidation of Windhaven Insurance Co., effective Jan. 6.

The Florida Department of Financial Services, in its capacity as receiver, recently applied to place Windhaven into liquidation after determining that any further efforts to rehabilitate the company would be useless. Windhaven was placed into receivership earlier in December 2019.

The company's policies will be canceled, effective Feb. 5.
