Power
* DTE Energy Co. on Oct. 9 named Peter Dietrich senior vice president and chief nuclear officer of the Fermi 2 nuclear power plant in Michigan. Dietrich succeeds Paul Fessler, who will remain as an adviser during the transition. In a separate Oct. 9 release, DTE said Micah Ragland, Walmart Inc.'s former director of global communications, was appointed director of corporate communications for its electric company.
* According to multiple news reports, Kansai Electric Power Co.'s chairman, Makoto Yagi, stepped down Oct. 9 following a scandal implicating officials of the Japanese utility who received about ¥320 million in gifts from a local government official over several years. In addition, the Nikkei Asian Review and Kyodo News reported that the utility's president, Shigeki Iwane, will also step down after a third-party panel submits its independent report on the controversy by the end of the year. Executive Vice President Ikuo Morinaka also resigned.
* Southern California Gas Co. appointed Gillian Wright senior vice president - customer services effective Oct. 19, according to an Oct. 8 securities filing. Wright will cease to be the company's chief human resources and chief administrative officer effective Oct. 18.
* SunPower Corp. on Oct. 4 said that Total Solar International's designee Helle Kristoffersen resigned from its board of directors.
* Fidel Marquez Jr. stepped down as senior vice president of governmental and external affairs of Commonwealth Edison Co. on Oct. 2, according to an Oct. 4 securities filing.
Oil and gas utility/midstream
* Grizzly Energy, LLC terminated Patty Avila-Eady as its chief accounting officer and eliminated the position, according to an Oct. 9 securities filing. Avila-Eady will remain as an employee through Oct. 18.
* Paleo Resources Inc. CEO Marc Rhoades took on a new role as the company's COO, according to an Oct. 9 release. Paleo's executive chairman Roger Braugh Jr. was named interim CEO.
* Following an internal review, ProPetro Holding Corp. on Oct. 9 announced a number of executive changes. Current chairman of the board Phillip Gobe was named as executive chairman. Jeffrey Smith, former CFO, was appointed as chief administrative officer. Former Concho Resources Inc. CFO Darin Holderness will serve as interim CFO while the firm looks for a permanent CFO. Newton Wilson III was named as general counsel and corporate secretary. Elo Omavuezi was promoted to chief accounting officer, replacing Ian Denholm, who resigned from the position.
* New Jersey Resources Corp. on Oct. 9 appointed John Bremner vice president of NJR Midstream.
* Halcón Resources Corp. named Daniel Rohling executive vice president and COO effective Oct. 8. Rohling replaces Jon Wright.
* Borr Drilling Ltd. named former Schlumberger Ltd. CEO Pål Kibsgaard chairman, replacing Tor Olav Trøim, who will serve as deputy chairman and will remain a director. Kibsgaard was elected as a director during the company's annual general meeting in September.
* Antero Resources Corp. named Vicky Sutil and Tom Tyree as class III and class I directors, respectively, according to an Oct. 8 news release. The appointments took effect Oct. 7.
* Phillips 66 on Oct. 7 said that it appointed the former executive vice president and CFO of Walmart Inc., Charles Holley, as an independent director, effective Oct. 4, and increased the size of its board from nine to 10 members.
