Commonwealth Bank of Australia's CFO steps down; acting CFO named

Commonwealth Bank of Australia appointed Alan Docherty as acting CFO to replace Rob Jesudason, who stepped down as CFO with immediate effect.

Docherty was previously CFO for institutional banking and markets.

Jesudason left the Australian bank to pursue an external role, and is the latest departure among the senior executive ranks amid Matt Comyn taking up the role of CEO on April 9.

The bank said May 14 that it is conducting an internal and external search for a permanent replacement.
