FERC approves Macquarie Group affiliate to sell 4 landfill gas-powered plants

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved an affiliate of Macquarie Group Ltd. to sell four landfill gas-to-electricity power plants in California and Rhode Island to a subsidiary of Energy Developments Pty. Ltd.

Under the transaction, Energy Developments, a subsidiary of DUET Group, will acquire the 5.1-MW Brea Generation facility in Brea, Calif., the 37.2-MW Olinda Alpha Landfill power plant in Orange County, Calif., and the 6-MW Ridgewood Providence Power and 30.9-MW Johnston Rhode Island CC Plant in Providence County, R.I., from Broadrock Renewables LLC, a Macquarie affiliate.
