Corazon identifies new cobalt zones at Mount Gilmore project

Corazon Mining Ltd. has uncovered new zones of cobalt mineralization at its Cobalt Ridge prospect, part of the Mount Gilmore project in New South Wales, Australia.

The cobalt mineralization was identified from recent soil sampling, which was conducted to pinpoint new targets for drilling in the third quarter.

Corazon said June 9 that the main cobalt lode has now been defined over a 450-meter strike and is expected to continue under cover. Drilling has so far only tested 200 meters of the zone.

Meanwhile, the zone known as Flintoff's Trend has been defined over 350 meters strike, extending under cover, and has not yet been drill tested.

Selective rock-chip sampling of old workings by past operators returned up to 8.9% cobalt from surface.

According to Corazon, the dominant trend of copper mineralization has been traced over a strike of 1.5 kilometers and is associated with cobalt anomalism for 1 km, providing additional potential for copper-cobalt-gold mineralization like Cobalt Ridge.
