Art Vivant fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Art Vivant Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥16.68 per share, a decline of 14.5% from ¥19.50 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥218.1 million, a decline of 14.5% from ¥255.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 15.0% from 16.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 5.0% on an annual basis to ¥1.45 billion from ¥1.53 billion, and total operating expenses increased 7.2% from the prior-year period to ¥1.27 billion from ¥1.19 billion.

Reported net income decreased 17.3% year over year to ¥215.0 million, or ¥16.44 per share, from ¥260.0 million, or ¥19.88 per share.
