Report: AccorInvest sells Australian hotel portfolio to iProsperity for A$300M

AccorInvest SAS divested its 23-property hotel portfolio in Australia to iProsperity Group Pty. Ltd. for A$300 million, The Australian Financial Review reported Sept. 2, citing unnamed sources.

The portfolio with more than 3,000 rooms changed hands in recent weeks. Aside from iProsperity Group, the assets also piqued the interest of other investors including global fund manager BlackRock Inc.

The hotel investment platform, which spun off from AccorHotels, marketed the ibis-branded portfolio in July. As part of the JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group-brokered deal, the management of the hotels will remain with the Paris-listed hospitality company.

iProsperity Group intends to operate the properties for several years before marketing them again, the publication reported. iProsperity Group declined to comment on the matter.
