Operations at Jaguar Mining Inc.'s Pilar and Turmalina gold mines in Brazil returned to normal following a national 10-day truckers' strike that disrupted production, the company said June 11.
Jaguar said it expects some shipping and logistics issues to persist over the coming weeks as transportation normalizes to clear delivery backlogs throughout the country.
To protect against further disruption, the company is assessing opportunities to increase inventory stock levels where possible.
Jaguar recently scaled back activities at Pilar and Turmalina as the strike disrupted deliveries of mining consumables required to sustain normal operating activities.
