Volkswagen AG-owned Audi AG on Aug. 13 disclosed the appointment of Daniel Weissland as president of its Audi of America Inc. business unit, effective Sept. 1.

Weissland will replace interim President and COO Cian O'Brien in the role. O'Brien has been the interim president of Audi of America since May and he will remain executive vice president and COO of the business.

Prior to the appointment, Weissland was the president and CEO of Volkswagen Group Canada and Audi Canada.
