Y.S.Food Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to 17 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of ¥4.01 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥625,000, compared with a loss of ¥14.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 0.1% from negative 3.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to ¥458.0 million, compared with ¥459.0 million in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses fell 5.0% year over year to ¥454.0 million from ¥478.0 million.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥17.0 million, or a loss of ¥4.62 per share, compared to a loss of ¥27.0 million, or a loss of ¥7.53 per share, in the year-earlier period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥2.08 per share, a fall of 74.0% from ¥7.98 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥7.5 million, a fall of 73.9% from ¥28.8 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue decreased 5.2% on an annual basis to ¥1.90 billion from ¥2.00 billion, and total operating expenses declined on an annual basis to ¥1.88 billion from ¥1.95 billion.
The company said reported net income came to a loss of ¥33.0 million, or a loss of ¥9.14 per share, in the full year, compared with income of ¥13.0 million, or ¥3.61 per share, the prior year.
