Northern Minerals, thyssenkrupp sign offtake agreement for Browns Range project

Northern Minerals Ltd. said Aug. 12 that it entered into an offtake agreement with thyssenkrupp AG's thyssenkrupp Materials Trading GmBH for 100% of offtake from the Browns Range pilot plant project in Western Australia, replacing the company's previous agreement with Lianyugang Zeyu New Materials Sales Co. Ltd.

Thyssenkrupp will purchase all heavy rare earth carbonate from the pilot plant project with the flexibility for Northern Minerals to supply heavy rare earths as separated products in the future, under the agreement which is set to start immediately.

The agreement includes an intention for both parties to work together on implementing separating technologies at Brown Range and on potential expansions of the project.
