Xian Leng Holdings fiscal Q2 profit climbs 46.7% YOY

Xian Leng Holdings Berhad said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended July 31 amounted to 235,630 ringgits, an increase of 46.7% from 160,630 ringgits in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to 6.6% from 5.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 12.6% year over year to 3.6 million ringgits from 3.2 million ringgits, and total operating expenses grew 13.2% on an annual basis to 3.2 million ringgits from 2.9 million ringgits.

Reported net income rose 54.8% year over year to 348,980 ringgits, or 0 sen per share, from 225,390 ringgits, or 0 sen per share.

As of Sept. 28, US$1 was equivalent to 4.43 ringgits.
