Equinix logs 9.3% YOY rise in Q2 AFFO per share

Equinix Inc. reported funds from operations attributable to common shareholders for the second quarter of $353.0 million, or $4.16 per share, compared to $289.5 million, or $3.63 per share, in the 2018 second quarter.

For the quarter, adjusted FFO gained 9.3% year over year on a per-share basis to $497.6 million, or $5.87 per share, from $428.1 million, or $5.37 per share.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus AFFO estimate for the quarter was $5.48 per share.

Revenues for the quarter came to $1.38 billion, a 9.7% gain from $1.26 billion in the year-ago period.

For the 2019 full year, the data center real estate investment trust expects AFFO per share in the range of $22.57 to $22.81, indicating a 9% to 10% increase over the previous year or a normalized and constant currency increase of 8% to 9%.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus AFFO-per-share estimate for 2019 is $22.67.
