Radio Jamaica Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, was 6 Jamaican cents per share, a gain of 27.6% from 5 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was J$67.4 million, a gain of 27.6% from J$52.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 11.0% from 8.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose on an annual basis to J$614.9 million from J$590.7 million, and total operating expenses came to J$503.7 million, compared with J$500.1 million in the prior-year period.
Reported net income decreased 21.5% on an annual basis to J$80.3 million, or 8 cents per share, from J$102.4 million, or 10 cents per share.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to J$121.20.
