OUG Holdings fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

OUG Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥152.86 per share, a decline of 23.7% from ¥200.31 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥836.9 million, a decrease of 23.5% from ¥1.09 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 0.9% from 1.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew year over year to ¥97.22 billion from ¥93.32 billion, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to ¥95.92 billion from ¥91.59 billion.

Reported net income declined 44.3% from the prior-year period to ¥932.0 million, or ¥170.23 per share, from ¥1.67 billion, or ¥306.40 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
