Ascencio adds 3 nonexecutive directors

Belgian retail real estate investment trust Ascencio SCA appointed three new directors, bringing the number of members on its board to 10.

Stéphanie Boniface, French sales director of the projects and renewals department at commercial property company Immochan, and Lemon Crush founder and managing partner and Anais Digital UX department manager Alexandra Leunen will serve as independent nonexecutive directors, while property developer Equilis Europe CEO Olivier Beguin will serve as a nonexecutive director.

Beguin is linked to developers Carl, Eric and John Mestdagh, who exercised their option on 49% of the shares held by shareholder AG Real Estate. The trio will effectively hold 100% of Ascencio's shares immediately after the June 8 statutory general meeting, while AG Real Estate will remain a major shareholder of the REIT with 13% of the capital.
