Aigan fiscal Q4 loss widens 10.5% YOY

Aigan Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was a loss of ¥3.06 per share, compared with a loss of ¥2.77 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥59.4 million, compared with a loss of ¥53.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 1.5% from negative 1.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled ¥3.87 billion, compared with ¥3.85 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses came to ¥3.99 billion, compared with ¥3.96 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥190.0 million, or a loss of ¥9.79 per share, compared to a loss of ¥364.0 million, or a loss of ¥18.75 per share, in the year-earlier period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥6.92 per share, compared with a loss of ¥10.37 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥134.4 million, compared with a loss of ¥201.3 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥16.56 billion from ¥15.99 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥16.45 billion, compared with ¥16.40 billion in the year-earlier period.

The company said reported net income totaled ¥43.0 million, or ¥2.22 per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of ¥1.24 billion, or a loss of ¥63.73 per share, the prior year.

As of June 30, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.42.
