Goldman Sachs develops app for gauging corporate raid risk

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is creating an app to help companies assess their susceptibility to activist investors, Bloomberg News reported May 30.

The app, which will be called Jupiter, will be available to companies in the coming weeks.

The program determines the risk of a corporate raid by filtering historical shareholder data and examining it in light of other variables. It also shows companies their standing in fund portfolios so that potential investors can be identified, the news outlet reported.
