ACS SA said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 41 euro cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 59 cents per share.
EPS increased year over year from 40 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €125.8 million, compared with €125.0 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 2.2% from 1.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 6.0% year over year to €8.57 billion from €8.08 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 5.7% from the prior-year period to €8.14 billion from €7.70 billion.
Reported net income grew 19.0% on an annual basis to €207.0 million, or 67 cents per share, from €174.0 million, or 56 cents per share.
