Former Goldman Sachs exec to lead BlackRock's US fixed-income ETF biz

BlackRock Inc. has appointed Heather Brownlie U.S. head of fixed-income exchange-traded funds, Bloomberg News reported, citing spokeswoman Melissa Garville.

Brownlie will handle product creation, sales and capital markets in BlackRock's debt ETF business. She served as the global head of fixed-income for private wealth management in Goldman Sachs Group Inc.'s investment management division, according to the report.

The news outlet reported that BlackRock also named Jim Hill an adviser to its ETF business. Hill has worked at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse Group AG.
